A bluffing game where everyone plays their cards face down while calling their rank: the first to empty their hand wins, as long as nobody has caught them lying.
Be the first to get rid of all your cards. The game ends as soon as a player manages it, and the others are ranked by the number of cards they have left: the fewer you keep, the higher you rank.
All fifty-two cards are dealt, one at a time, around the table. Depending on the number of players, some receive one card more than the others. There is no draw pile: you play only with your hand, and with what you pick up.
Each player also receives three bullets, which are used to make accusations.
The first player calls aces, the next twos, then threes, and so on up to kings; after kings, the sequence starts again from aces. The rank of each turn is set by this sequence, never chosen.
On your turn, you play one, two, three or four cards face down, claiming they are all of the called rank. You can tell the truth, or lie about some or all of the cards: a single card of another rank is enough to make the call a lie.
Until the next player has played in turn, any other player can challenge the last call — not just the player next in line, and never the one who made it. The cards of that call are then turned over.
If the call was false, the liar picks up the whole pile from the middle. If it was true, the accuser picks it up. The winner of the challenge takes the lead, and the sequence starts again from the rank that was just challenged.
Accusing costs a bullet, and everyone starts with three. A correct accusation gives the bullet back to the accuser; a wrong one loses it for good.
A player with no bullets left can no longer accuse. They keep playing and bluffing, but have to count on the others to unmask the liars.
Emptying your hand is not enough to win on the spot: the last call can still be challenged, like all the others. If someone accuses and the player had lied, they pick up the pile and the game goes on.
If they had told the truth, or if the next player lets it stand without accusing, they win the game.
